Do Not Attempt to Adjust Your Monitor...

Thu Nov 5, 2009, 1:06 PM

  • Listening to: Maroon 5's 1.22.03 Accoustic
  • Reading: Font: The Sourcebook
  • Watching: Danny Phantom
...this is actually a real update.

Yes it has been quite some time since I've truly visited the ol' dA stomping grounds. So I'll get the usualy empty promises of uploading stuff out of the way.

I plan on uploading my artwork from my Tyler "career" at some point. More for me and my cataloging habits than for you. (Nothing personal.)

Now that that's done with I can tell you where some (relatively) new stuff of mine IS uploaded: [link] It's not all of my new stuff, but it IS something. That being said, there's a link on that site to the "official" Everybody Hates Hamlet website; which, at this point allows yo u to watch it and listen to the "original soundtrack".

Now for a deviantArt specific topic: why do keep people favoriting my "Cartoon Network Collection"? Whenever I visit this site, that's pretty much the only "miscellaneous" messages I get. It now has 147 favorites and 11,916 views. I haven't looked to see which one of my deviations comes in second, but I'm pretty sure it would be pretty pathetic by comparison. This leads me to believe that most deviantArt users are here for the fan art. Not that I'm complaining, I'm just a little dissapointed, that's all.

And in webcomics news, M-Comics will be resumed most likely when I'm done for the semester, and Ack-A-Me is still on the eternal hiatus. I have pencil comics drawn out for both, just not the time to digitize anything.

I suppose that's it for the Journal update. Thanks for reading!

Last Minute August Update

  • Mood: Artistic
  • Listening to: Styx
  • Reading: Art & Fear
  • Watching: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Hey lookie! A new deviation! I thought I'd share the official shirt I designed for the incoming freshman class of Tyler School of Art. Also, M-Comics has resumed an update schedule of Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Check it out at [link]

School is now back in session, so I will be doin g some Graphic Design work, as well as oil painting. Hopefully I'll have time to do some photography on the side as well.

I'll get last semester's stuff up... eventually.

Till then,
AJ

June-July Update

  • Mood: Lazy
  • Listening to: Invader Zim Soundtrack
  • Reading: A Thousand Splendid Suns
Why do I even bother posting here when I don't upload any art? Well I hope to change that this month. Yep. That's all for June-July. Nothing has changed a whole lot. Back to your buisness.

May I have this Update?

Sun May 10, 2009, 11:21 AM
  • Mood: Artistic
  • Listening to: Pandora Internet Radio
  • Reading: Mortal Engines
  • Watching: Star Wars (in episodic order)
  • Playing: The Sims for GBA series
Yeah, so I skipped April. Nobody cares. This semester is pretty much over with the exception of an Art History Final. I plan on uploading my work from this semester sometime during the month. Here's a few reasons May is going to be awesome:
1) I complete my first year of college
2) No More Kings is releasing a new album
3) 2 year anniversary with Caitlin
4) Up Comes to Theaters
5) other cool stuff will happen
I also plan on revitalizing my webcomics, Ack-A-Me Adventures, and re-inventing M-Comics, for what the fourth time now? So that shall be fun. As well as summer courses! I'll be taking Computers for Design over the summer, hopefully that'll be easy. In other news, I will now be posting this little monthly dA update on my Anthonimus Blog as well, so check it out- it has my Computers work for the semester there already. [link]
That's all.

Marching an Update

  • Listening to: All of My Albums in Alphebetical Order (Now on W)
  • Reading: Heroes Graphic Novel 2
  • Watching: American Dad
  • Eating: Cheese Danish
  • Drinking: Gatorade
It's that time of the month- Super update time.
So today was the official ribbon cutting ceremony for Tyler, and I still had class, while the ceremony and strange people (and by strange, we mean non-artists) roamed the building snacking on punch and asparagus (seriously. Tyler served asparagus as snacks.) But at least I was in 3D, and we made a project out of asking random people to take their picture, and then a whole bunch of us swarmed in and took one. Sadly I missed the majority of the fun since I had to walk my mom from the train station to Tyler. But fun was had by all. I had 3 pieces featured in the Foundation's Exhibit: My Computers self portrait which looked quite stunning all printed out an framed, Escheresque which would show up on a mac screen for 3 seconds among other computer pieces, and my Animal Noise Machine, which was wall mounted much to my surprise, but made it look a lot cooler.
In other news, I have officially decided to begin persuing Graphic Design as a major, and am taking a Computers for Design course over the summer. So, outside of my one external harddrive's index getting messed up (the one with my music and not my pictures, semi-fortunaely), I have nothing else to report. For more art updates, I reccomend following my blog [link]
